Facing stiff competition from 53 national champions across 50 countries, Mikael showcased his unparalleled skills over four intense days of competition.
Making it to the semifinals alongside 16 other finalists, Mikael stood out as one of the six global representatives to advance to the final round. Competing against top baristas from around the world, including those from the Netherlands, New Zealand, South Korea, Japan, and Ireland, Mikael secured the championship title with his exceptional performance.
Before becoming a renowned barista and founder of So So Good Coffee Company & CATUR Coffee Company, Mikael honed his craft for over a decade. Starting as a barista in Melbourne, Australia in 2011, Mikael's dedication and passion for coffee led him to various roles, eventually establishing himself as a leader in the industry.
Armed with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, Screen, and Cultural Studies from the University of Melbourne, followed by a Master of Marketing from RMIT University, Mikael's academic background complements his hands-on experience in coffee marketing and brand management.
